"Natural forces within us are the true healers of disease"
I am a cranio-sacral therapist based in Northern Finland.
I originally trained and worked as a dancer, choreographer and dance scientist in the UK for 15 years before training as a therapist at the College of Cranio-Sacral Therapy in London in 2011. I believe that my background in dance helps to give me a special understanding of the body-mind connection, which certainly helps in a treament situation. You can read more about my dance practice from TaikaBox website.
I moved back to Finland in the Summer of 2015 and worked as a cranio-sacral therapist at NEO Eheä Olo clinic in central Oulu for a year before setting up my home clinic in Varjakka.
Cranio-sacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on therapy form that is concerned with the whole person on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. It was initially developed from cranial osteopathy in the first part of 20th century, but has since evolved into its own practice.
There is a growing number of cranio-sacral therapists around the world with different approaches to the treatment. However, the principles of the cranio-sacral work are the same - listening to the patient with the whole of yourself and facilitating their healing process.
